Our History & Heritage

Founded on 30th January 1913, Ranaghat People's Co-operative Bank Ltd. has been serving the people of Ranaghat and Nadia district for more than a century. Established under the visionary leadership of Late Nagendranath Palchowdhury, President, and Late Harendra Krishna Dey Chowdhury, Secretary, the Bank was created with a mission to promote financial cooperation, economic progress, and community welfare.

Registered under Registration No. 1 dated 30.01.1913 and presently governed by the West Bengal Co-operative Societies Act, 2006, the Bank has built a strong reputation based on trust, stability, and responsible banking practices.

Granted Registration No. 1 under the Co-operative Societies Act, laying the cornerstone of banking in Nadia.

2010

Computerized Banking

Migrated from physical ledger systems to automated computer configurations across the counter.

2011

RBI Banking License

Awarded RBI Banking License No. UBD.WB 16/2010-11 to act as an authorized Urban Co-operative Bank.

2017

Core Banking Systems

Rolled out digital Core Banking System (CBS) integrating operations and clearing structures.
